Earth Island Institute Rack Card

Earth Island Institute
Supporting environmental action projects and helping foster the next generation of environmental leaders in order to achieve solutions to the crises threatening the survival of life on Earth.

Earth Island Institute (EII) is a non-profit that was founded in 1982 with the intention of raising up the next generation of environmental activists to help find solutions to the life-threatening crises on Earth. EII has been the home to more than 200 grassroots environmental action projects, and currently has a network of over 75 projects. The goal of EII is to encourage the efforts of creative individuals on critical ecological issues.
Challenge
The main challenge for ART330 was to choose a non-profit organization and create a visual solution explaining what the non-profit was and why the non-profit should gain support.
Solution
The solution was to use a more neutral color palette, but to stay within the color palette on the EII website. The navy blue was pulled directly from the website, as well as the lighter blue. The tan was added in to give the rack card a more natural look. The fonts used were different variations of Proxima Nova.
